John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

In John 14:27, Jesus promises to leave His peace with us. This peace is not like the peace that the world offers, but it is a peace that surpasses all understanding. It is a peace that comes from knowing and trusting in the Lord. Just as Isaiah 26:3-4 says, when our minds are stayed on the Lord and we trust in Him, He keeps us in perfect peace. This peace is not dependent on our circumstances or the chaos of the world around us, but it is a peace that comes from our relationship with God.

As followers of Christ, we are called to live in the peace that Jesus has given us. This means that even in the midst of trials and challenges, we can have a deep sense of peace knowing that God is in control. We can trust in His faithfulness and His promises. It is easy to let our hearts be troubled and to be afraid, especially when we look at the state of the world today. But Jesus reminds us not to let our hearts be troubled, for He has overcome the world. We can find comfort and peace in His presence and His love for us.

Dear Lord, thank You for the peace that You have given us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to trust in You and to keep our minds stayed on You, so that we may experience the perfect peace that comes from knowing You. In the midst of the chaos and uncertainty of this world, may Your peace reign in our hearts. Give us the strength and courage to not be afraid, but to have faith in Your promises. We surrender our worries and anxieties to You, knowing that You are our everlasting rock. In Jesus' name, Amen.
