Proverbs 17:17 - A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

But we all desperately need love and support to make it through this broken world. I want to follow Jesus' example by pouring out His love to everyone around me. I'm also challenged to cling to the Lord through seasons of adversity when I feel alone. Emotions may whisper that He has abandoned me, but I know His word says otherwise. He promises never to leave or forsake me, and to give me strength for each new day. Jesus understands heartache and betrayal firsthand. He is the faithful friend I can run to with all my hurts and struggles. Finally, this passage inspires me to faithfully intercede for loved ones in prayer. While perseverance doesn't earn God's favor, He invites me to freely make my requests known before His throne of grace. He cares about the details of my life and relationships. As I lift up friends and family to the Lord, I can trust Him to work powerfully on their behalf in His perfect timing.

Lord Jesus, thank You for demonstrating perfect love by sacrificing Yourself for me. Forgive me for the times I've neglected relationships with others. Help me to faithfully love and serve my friends. Give me wisdom to know when I need to gently speak truth to them, and when I should just listen and comfort. I pray You would strengthen my closest friendships to reflect the unity among believers that You desire. Thank You for always being my faithful Friend, even when I don't deserve it. I love You Lord.
