Lamentations 3:25-33 - The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Let him sit alone in silence when it is laid on him; let him put his mouth in the dust—there may yet be hope; let him give his cheek to the one who strikes, and let him be filled with insults. For the Lord will not cast off forever, but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love; for he does not afflict from his heart or grieve the children of men.

Heavenly Father, Thank You that You are a good and faithful God, even when my circumstances feel anything but good. In seasons of hardship and suffering, help me to wait patiently for You. Quiet my heart before You and align my will to Yours. Give me the strength to endure difficulty with humility and hope, trusting that You will not abandon me forever. Forgive me for the times I have doubted Your goodness or tried to take matters into my own hands. Help me to relinquish control to You, acknowledging that You are God and I am not. Teach me to sit at Your feet in silence, putting my mouth in the dust and finding my hope and strength in You alone. Thank You for Your steadfast love and abundant compassion, which never fail even when I do. Use even the hardest seasons for my good and Your glory.
