Proverbs 14:23-24 - In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the folly of fools brings folly.

Idle hands may seem like rest, but they often lead to temptation or trouble. Instead, we should seek opportunities to use our time and talents to help and encourage one another.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of work and the ability to apply our skills to provide for ourselves and others. Help us to reject laziness and empty pursuits, instead filling our days with meaningful labor done in wisdom and love. Bless the work of our hands, and use it to bless the lives of those around us. When challenges or difficulties arise, give us perseverance and remind us that our true reward is in storing up treasure in heaven through obedience and service.
